Mud . . . I’m so over it! It’s everywhere on the farm and the construction has amplified the mess to a magnitude of red, deep, slippery mess.
I can’t change the circumstance of my life today, but I can control how I’m going to respond, so I decided to adopt a “mud is for me, not against me” mentality.
What can I learn here? Mud can be molded and once dry, it is a strong and stable foundation. Mud can be redirected to divert water and create new pathways. This slippery mess can also cause me to stay focused on where my feet are and the steps I take. Mud deepens my awareness of life around me.
I can’t make it stop raining, but I can control how it affects my thinking. So the mud? I’m ok with it.
